Every year we ask our passionate team to choose their tea of the year. Here are their selections:
Kasia picked AMBER GABA
"If you want to find a balance between your mind and body, this is the tea! I like to drink this tea when I am working because it keeps me calm and alert at the same time. The honey like flavour is comforting balanced and truly delicious."
Justyna picked MOONLIGHT WHITE
"It is so unique with its secret production technique but even in the cup, every infusion is so unpredictable. The first sip is so light, golden yellow, sweet and grassy following the next, more red in colour with fruitier flavours. I go for Moonlight White whenever I just want something special"
Hugo picked EMPRESS OOLONG
"Warm, healthy and rich are the three words I use to describe my tea of the year. Warm in effect, healthy in benefits and rich in flavour"
Jenny picked FIRE PHOENIX
"This is the perfect warming tea with a strong flavour but beautifully smooth too. Aids digestion and keeps me slim. I also find it energising and uplifting."
Celine picked MIDNIGHT SUN
" A tea that evokes a secret tropical garden sitting in a clearing by a fire. With a little breeze that is just the right temperature so that you drift into a daydream of complete meditation and comfort. My favourite tea of the year."
Lucy picked IMPERIAL GREEN
"Not only is this the tea of the year for me, it is the tea of my life. I can't imagine my day without it. Need energy? Imperial Green. Feeling ill? Imperial green (with some Goji berries thrown in). Humanity getting you down? Imperial green (mixed with Amber Gaba!). It is smooth and light , but has a depth and fullness of flavour that keeps it interesting. Never getting too grassy or bitter. For me its a classic that will never go out of style."
Interested to know my tea of the year? It's a difficult one as I think this year (more than any since we launched) we have pushed the boat way out there in trying to source different and precious tea. If I think back on 2015 though, it will be dominated by obsession with Young Sheng (raw) PuErh.
I am going to write a newsletter in a few days about this tea but if you are interested then go and have a read about YOUNG GUSHU - my tea of the year.
Please be reminded that last order for Christmas delivery is 22nd December.
