Very small silver buds and sage green leaves plucked in early Spring in Fujian Province. A delicate flavour of sweet honey, chestnut and vanilla with a clean and refreshing finish.
Produced by plucking the bud and two young leaves of the Fuding Da Bai tea cultivar which are allowed to wither in the sun for a few days before being gently baked.
This white tea is slightly stronger in flavour and less delicate in comparison to Silver Needle with more floral and nutty notes.
To brew Western style, infuse about 2g (heaped teaspoon) of leaf per 300ml of 85c water for about 3 minutes. You can reinfuse up to 2 times by adding 60 seconds for every subsequent infusion. We recommend you try brewing Gong Fu style which uses more leaf but creates a tastier brew.
To brew Gong fu style, infuse about 5g of leaf per 150ml of 85c water for about 5 seconds. You can reinfuse up to 5 times by adding about 5 seconds for every subsequent infusion.
